I have just uploaded my latest short, Link's Triumph over in the portal. Please check it out!
I know it's extremely short, but I put plenty of time in effort into it. I think I've really pushed myself as far as my animation and artwork is concerned. It's been received rather well over on my YouTube channel and I hope that it goes over well here on Newgrounds.
I'm glad I was able to put this out RIGHT before the New Year. Feels good to be able to put this into 2012's accomplishments.
I hope everyone enjoys it and more importantly has an awesome New Year. Don't party too hard tonight!
In case you missed it, I wanted to let people know that I put a new cartoon on the portal the other day called Candy Corns 2. If you've been a long time fan of my work (which I completely understand if you're not) you might get a kick out of the return of Grey and Jacquo. You can check it out by swinging over here:
If anyone is interested, I also started a new drawing series on YouTube recently. Every two - three weeks I record myself doing some artwork, speed up the footage and do some commentary over top of it. To celebrate Candy Corns 2, I took some time to do some Grey & Jacquo art. After I finish these I throw them up onto eBay for a few dollars as well, in case anyone ever wants to own the finished pieces.
If you're interested, throw a big on it here
Thanks for reading!
Been so long since I put up a Newgrounds blog entry. Yikes! Anyway, I've uploaded my newest short, 'Take a Key for Coming In' to the portal. It's part of Vol 2 of Read Only Memory. So check it out, and I hope you like it!
And if you're curious, here is the YouTube version.
I decided to go for a silent film style short for this episode and also wanted to do something a bit more serious since I'm always trying to make goof ball shit. It was a nice change of pace.
Only one more episode of Read Only Memory left and then I'll be moving onto something completely different. Thanks guys!
I'm going to be helping out the site Elder-Geek.com with their gaming marathon for Japan. I'll be taking over shortly for the next few hours with lots of Sega Genesis gaming going on. Come on out and join us! Hope to see some of you there.
So I have a new short that I wanted to post on the portal tonight, but I've run into some issues with it that are preventing me from doing that. Namely, my masks are completely falling apart in the swf, yet viewing it on the stage looks fine, and rendering out a PNG sequence is also fine. So, I'm kind of at a lose as to how to handle that.
Anyway, it's been a REALLY long time since I did a short. I'm starting another series of Read Only Memory (which you can find the first Volume of right here on NG) and this is the first episode in series 2. It's called Howard & Nester & Metroid and it's based on the old characters from Nintendo Power magazine. The idea is that it's a motion comic made as if it were still 1989, with a few other embellishments. So, here's the YT version!
It's been a long time since I've uploaded anything to Newgrounds, so I'm happy to have something to share with people. You can find Read Only Memory over in the portal, along with more about it.
So, I'm sorry if there are people that miss the regular Shamoozal/GFGames shorts that we were doing for a little while there. I wanted to take a break from those shorts for a while and this project was offered to me to start on. Will Grey and Jacquo ever return? Yeah, maybe. Probably. I wouldn't count on it any time this year though.
Life has gotten much busier lately, especially with the birth of our twins. Animation has to take a back seat, but these ROM shorts haven't been too painful to crank out (though that Link one was a bit of an under taking all things considered).
These shorts are supposed to be done monthly. I won't be uploading them to the portal as I go along, only in these Volumes after so many are done. Unless people think I should upload them as I complete them? Not sure. I feel like they're stronger together, but maybe I'm wrong.
So anyway, thanks for reading!
So I've been absent from NG for a while now. Sorry about that folks. Anyway, I started working on a new series of monthly shorts for GoNintendo.com called Read Only Memory. They're quick little jokes based on, you guessed it, Nintendo stuff. I've only done two of them so far, and wanted to share them with you.
I haven't put these on NG yet because I'm waiting to finish up a batch of them and create a whole Volume worth of shorts. So that should be here around August. Hope you guys like them!
We're about to start our 2nd annual NES Holiday Marathon for Child's Play! Just come on out to http://www.shamoozal.com/marathon09 to watch, chat, participate and donate. There will be plenty of chances to win some stuff too, and a 5 dollar or more donation gets you enter into a drawing at the end of the night. It's from 12PM to 12AM. Hope to see you there!
As some of you guys might know I spent a good part of the weekend throwing together a new Frankensteiner short for Halloween. It's nothing fancy, but maybe you'll get a laugh out of it. It's up at the portal.
edit: the feed is working like garbage so I stopped it for now. Sorry about that.
Hey everyone. Today I'll be spending a majority of my time working on a new "Frankensteiner" short, and I'll be streaming the entire work process live. It's a good time to see how I work (if you're curious) and just BS with other people. It'll start around 12est (probably a little earlier) and be streamed through ustream.tv. Here's a link to the Shamoozal ustream page:
This short will obviously NOT have the type of quality that the GFGames shorts generally do. The idea is for me to kind of rip through this thing as fast as I possibly can. The Frankensteiner shorts are made to look crude and aren't exactly the best animated. I'll step things up a slight bit compared to the old ones for this edition, but it's not going to be anything mind blowing technically.
Anyway, hope to see some of you there. It'll be a long day, so it'll be nice to have some people to chat with.
